The Bible is the Word of God revealed and recorded in a collection of books written over the centuries. The Bible is also the most read book in the world. However, it is not an ordinary book. Bible readers need to know that there are two natures in the Bible, the human and the divine.

The Bible originally consisted of 66 books that were accepted as inspired by God. These 66 books correspond to 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament.

The books that make up the Bible were written by different authors between 1,500 and 2,000 years ago. The first book written probably dates to around 3,500 years ago. The last one was written about 2,000 years ago.
